Pregnant Celebrities Due in 2012

Our fascination with the lives of celebrities is never greater than when our favourite famous people are expecting a baby. In most cases, speculation abounds as to whether the star is in fact pregnant and then, when the pregnancy is confirmed, we watch, read and listen avidly as they head towards the birth of their child.

Fortunately, 2012 will see many children born to celebrities, including: celebrities we have loved and followed for many years and those that are newer to stardom. Here we take a look at 10 celebrities that are soon to experience the joys of nappies, breastfeeding tops and the pitter patter of tiny feet!

Kourtney Kardashian:

This Kardashian sister and her partner Scott Disick will welcome their second child mid-way through this year. Already parents to Mason, aged 2 years, Kourtney Kardashian and Disick broke with the tradition of waiting at least 12 weeks by announcing the pregnancy when she was only 9 weeks along. The gender of their baby is yet to be revealed.

Maggie Gyllenhaal:

The endearing and quirky actress Maggie Gyllenhaal and her husband, Peter Sarsgaard, are expecting their second child this year. Gyllenhaal’s baby will have a big sister in Ramona, aged 5, and is set to be welcomed by very excited parents. In an interview with People magazine last year, the actress said: “There’s no way to prepare for the challenges, the immense joys, the surprises, the disappointments and the shocks…Your heart just rips open. It’s amazing.”

Jessica Simpson:

For months, speculation was rife that Jessica Simpson was expecting a baby with her fiancé, former NFL player, Eric Johnson. Simpson finally confirmed her pregnancy on October 31st and ever since, her maternity fashion choices have been closely watched.

Bruce Willis:

Already a daddy to three (Rumer aged 23, Scout aged 20 and Tallulah aged 17 – born to Willis and his ex-wife Demi Moore), the baby due in Autumn 2012 will be the actor’s first child with his wife of 2 years, Emma Heming. The baby’s sex has not been revealed and the expectant parents are known to be “overjoyed” at the impending arrival.

Jack Osbourne:

Also due to become a dad in Autumn 2012 is 25 year old Jack Osbourne, son of Black Sabbath singer Ozzy Osbourne and wife Sharon. Lisa Stelly, a model and aspiring actress is the mother of the baby and has confessed to being ‘…a little nervous’ about the role that awaits. The beautiful Stelly is being closely watched for her maternity fashion choices.

Robert Downey Jr:

In February 2012, actor Robert Downey Jr and his film producer wife Susan Downey will welcome their first child together. The star of Iron Man is already father to Indio, aged 17, whose mother is Downey Jr’s previous wife, Deborah Falconer.

Jennifer Garner:

The ever-stylish Jennifer Garner is experiencing the world of maternity jeans, maternity tops and maternity swimwear for the third time. Garner and Affleck are set to welcome a third child (whose gender has not been revealed) to their family; their baby will have older sisters in Violet aged 5 and Seraphina aged 2.

Hilary Duff:

Singer and actress Hilary Duff and her pro hockey player husband, Mike Comrie, have revealed that they are expecting a little boy this year. Duff made the pregnancy announcement on her website on August 14 last year which was also the date of the couple’s first wedding anniversary.

Kelsey Grammer:

In winter this year, actor Kelsey Grammer and his wife, Kayte Walsh, will welcome twins to their family. An experienced father with four children from previous relationships, Grammer made the big announcement backstage at the Golden Globe Awards following his acceptance of the award for best actor in a TV drama.

Alyson Hannigan:

How I Met Your Mother star, Alyson Hannigan, and her husband Alexis Denisof will give their daughter Satyana, aged 2, a little brother or sister later this year. Fortunately for Denisof, no efforts to hide her growing belly are needed as the character that she plays in the sit-com is also carrying a baby.

2012 is set to be a year in which many celebrities will welcome new babies to their families and fans will be waiting with almost as much anticipation as the expectant parents.
