Maternity Dresses for a Pregnancy Photoshoot
Make your pregnancy photoshoot an extraordinary experience to remember.
What should I wear for my Pregnancy Photos?
The main emphasis for your photos will be your pregnant belly. Choose styles that will flatter and show off your bump.
Do some online research beforehand to get an idea of the poses and styles of photos that you like, and want to emulate. Consider whether you want your shots fully clothed, or partly undressed to show off your baby belly. Click here for some planning tips and photo ideas.
Styles with side ruching are figure-hugging and shape your bump nicely – these styles are particularly good for those silhouette shots.
If you prefer loose flowing gowns, look for an empire design as this highlights the narrowest part above your belly for a lovely shape.
Plain colours and small prints look lovely. Avoid bold patterns as these can detract from the shape of the belly in the photographs.
Remember shapewear - just as it does for non-pregnant bodies, pregnancy shapewear helps smooth out the hips, buttocks and thighs, and gives a lovely flattering shape.
When to have a Pregnancy Photoshoot?
We recommend having your photos done at around six to eight months into your pregnancy. You’ll look lovely and obviously pregnant at six months, and you probably won’t feel like a glam photo shoot after the eight-month mark!
