If you're thinking, I don't have time to hit the gym, or go on a morning jog, worry less. Below are some fun postpartum fitness tips on how to exercise with a baby.

1. The Carrier Squats Exercise with Baby

If you're wearing or holding your child, squatting the normal way can be a bit of a challenge. You want to devise a new way, where both of you are comfortable. The carrier squats allow you to work out your lower body, especially the glutes and the quadriceps. Your child will be comfortable, and you'll have distributed their weight proportionally, so you are always balanced. The carrier squats are a great exercise with a baby, and you should definitely give it a try.

2. Straight and Reverse Curls: Exercise with Baby

Great for toning your abs, curls gives you an alternative way to exercise your core muscles in your child's company. With straight curls, you'll lie on your back while bending your knees at 60-degrees. Position the child on your lower abdomen. Make sure you exhale as you curl yourself up while pulling your abs in & out.

For reverse curls, lie on your back with the knees bent at 90-degrees and keep the legs parallel to the ground. Position the child on your legs, holding them under their arms. Now lift your shoulders, head, and hips off the ground while bringing your little one close to your face. Hold the position for ten seconds, and then gradually lower yourself. Repeat this effective exercise with the baby till failure.

3. Shoulder Press exercise with Baby

The best way to perform this exercise with a baby is to squat on the floor and lift her in the air as you raise yourself. When lifting, tighten the abdominal core to target the shoulder muscles effectively. Doing this exercise with your baby is quite simple and enjoyable, and your little one will surely love it.

4. Plank Exercise with Baby

This is another simple and practical exercise with a baby. You need to place the child on the floor, in between your hands and directly below your chest. Aim for 10 to 20 seconds before taking a break.

5. Jump on the Treadmill

Holding or wearing your child while on the treadmill is one way of embracing your workout routines while still keeping that bond. This is one exercise to do with a baby that's quite effective if done the right way. Make sure your child has developed some head control to avoid discomfort or/and possible injuries.

Here you want to choose the best treadmill that's efficient and within your budget. If you shop around, you'll find the best treadmill under 500 that will suit your workout needs. Using a treadmill for exercise with a baby can be quite beneficial for both of you.

6. Yoga Exercise with Baby

There are several yoga exercises you can choose to inspire your workout routine. Cat or snake stretch is a great exercise with a baby to stretch and work out your back muscles. Dance is a great exercise with a baby that helps you stretch and coordinate your muscles and arms. Where possible, pick those dance moves that will help you activate the muscles and increase flexibility.
