EMC: Every body, everybody, every mother counts TweetPin It Posted on 27/09/2013 in Integrity & Charities & Newsfeed For some women maternal health can be a complicated issue. When a woman comes through her birth experience healthy, thriving and ready for the challenge of motherhood, it’s because a combination of personal, cultural, familial, financial, educational, spiritual and medical factors united to create her healthy birth. Take any of those factors out of the mix though, and chances for compromised maternal health start to rise. When women and families are encouraged and supported to be their healthiest, in every avenue of their lives, mothers live, families thrive and communities flourish. Support your family, friends and colleagues in their personal fitness and health goals, whether that is learning to swim, training for a marathon or making the time to cook a healthy meal. Remember: Every body, everybody, every mother counts. Every Mother Counts is a campaign to end preventable deaths caused by pregnancy and childbirth around the world. EMC informs, engages, and mobilizes new audiences to take action to improve the health and well-being of girls and women worldwide. Queen Bee Maternity has chosen to become a community and awareness ambassador for Every Mother Counts, in order to help educate audiences about maternal health in Australia. Together, we can make pregnancy and childbirth safe for all moms. Comments Be the first to comment on this article! Leave your comment below.
