Benefits of a Sitz Bath
The sitz bath technique offers a targeted therapy for your perineum as that is the part that is being bathed. Soaking in mild warm water boosts blood flow to the area which can help the healing process and soothe the area.
During child birth sometimes the perineum can tear, or the doctor may need to perform an episiotomy to ensure a safe delivery. Afterwards your perineum can be sore and swollen for several weeks. Soaking in a sitz bath can help speed healing and soothe irritation.
Sitz baths are also commonly used for the treatment of haemorrhoids, anal fissues, constipation, diarrhea and prostatitis to offer relief from soreness, itching, burning and inflammation.
Directions
- Sitz: Dissolve 1/2 cup to warm (not hot) water in your sitz and soak for 15–20 mins
- Bath: Add 1-2 cups to a tub of warm (not hot) water and soak for 15–20 mins
Note:
- do not use hot or boiling water
- always test the temperature of the water before use

Return policy
- Returns must be received within 30 days of the invoice date (40 days for international customers).
- Items must be unworn, unwashed and in their original condition and packaging, with labels attached.
- When returning a bundled set, all items in the bundle must be returned.
- Full priced items are eligible for a refund (this includes items purchased with a promo code).
- Products marked 'on sale' in our clearance section here will receive a store credit only. Store credits are valid for 12 months.
Items that can't be returned
- Hosiery, compression hosiery and socks, and underwear briefs
- Skincare, nursing pads, maternity pads, teas and personal care items
- Swimwear can only be returned if the hygiene protection sticker is intact due to health and safety reasons
