 | It all started when my first baby, daughter Avery, was born I received a baby sling as a gift. With newborn Avery needing lots of holding and cuddling, I was having a challenging time figuring out how to manage life without the use of both hands! I had no idea how I was going to get through the next year or more without them. Once I received a baby sling, it became my survival tool from the first time Avery and I used it.
Seeing as my daughter wanted to be worn all of the time, I never left the house without my baby carrier. I'm by no means a fashionista, but I knew that there was no need to compromise style for sensibility. I started searching for unique and stylish slings but wasn't able to find what I was looking for...so that's why Pippalily baby slings was born. Now with my second child, it is so wonderful to be able to carry and nurture little Oliver while having my hands free to play and parent Avery.
I am definitely aware of all the psychological and developmental benefits of babywearing, but who's kidding who! I was looking for a stylish survival tool and the other benefits were just icing on the cake. I needed a simple solution to help me manage my life and the sling became just that.
In April 2008, I launched Pippalily Accessories committing further to our mission statement of Practical parenting with style!
