dearjohnnies the (get) better hospital gown
dearjohnnies embodies the idea that hospital patients and those recovering at home deserve to wear something better than an ordinary, used, oversized and drab hospital gown.
The idea to remake the dreadful hospital gown, came to founder Rachel Zinny when she was pregnant with her first daughter in 2003. Like most new parents-to-be, they planned to take photos right after the birth to share with family and friends. Then they realised that a prominent feature would be the generic, unattractive hospital gown - a drab, used, one size fits all gown. Rachel designed her and wore her gowns when her second daughter was born 2 years later. The nurses, doctors and other patients on her maternity floor all LOVED them ... dearjohnnies was born! These beautiful hospital gowns have become the must-have accessory for expecting mums around the world - including many high profile celebs - Tori Spelling, Jennifer Garner, Poppy Montgomery and Elisabeth Rohm. |
