Dante Beatrix is created by three designers with complementary skills and a unified vision. We operate out of a cozy office in downtown Manhattan, where we’re kept company by our canine mascot, Trixie. We design products together, over a daily lunchtime pow-wow.
Dante Pauwels: Founder
Dante has created best-selling products for Martha Stewart (e.g., the ubiquitous rubber tote bag) and two pieces from her personal work are part of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art’s permanent collection. She has a master’s in product design from Stanford. Wow.
Claire Theobald: Partner
Claire has designed museum exhibits and branded environments for award-winning firms such as Tigerman McCurry Architects, Ralph Appelbaum Associates, and Ogilvy & Mather. She has master’s degrees in both architecture and graphic design from Yale. Ooo la la.
Marcus Woolcott: Partner
Marcus has spent most of his professional life traveling the world as a creative director in advertising. He’s lived in London, Hong Kong, and Tokyo. His high-flying career has now brought him back to New York where he spends his time designing monkeys. Niiiice.
