Looking and Feeling Great During Pregnancy

Posted on 4/01/2014 in Pregnancy & Baby & Well-Being
Being pregnant means huge changes to your life - but just because you are having a baby doesn’t mean you can’t still look good, and by extension feel good. The really great thing about pregnancy clothing is that there are lots of fashionable on-trend options out there for 2014 - unlike in your mother or grandmother’s day, where the choices were likely limited to the shapeless and shapeless!

While being pregnant in the past meant discreetly draping your bump, and wearing unflattering smock-style dresses, or baggy elasticated pants, now there is maternity wear for every stage of your pregnancy, and for just about every occasion, body-shape, and personality type! With some of the wonderful pregnancy fashions that are around, it’s possible to be sporting a baby bump while still looking professional for the office, casual for home and shopping, sporty for your exercise sessions, and even a little glamorous for a romantic evening out.

Modern pregnant ladies can also be a little more proud of their baby bumps – no hiding necessary! And if you do want to hide your bump a little, there are styles for that too.

Maternity fashion options:

Feeling warm? Try a long tank or ruched summer top or a sleeveless tunic, teamed with some flattering maternity pants, shorts or skinny jeans. Or go for a sleeveless tank maxi dress, a side-tie jersey frock, or a beautiful Indie carefree-style dress.

Going out for a fancy occasion? You can choose from cocktail maternity wear, beautiful maxi dresses, or beautiful knot-front frocks, among others.

Need something new for the office? Choose from flattering pants, lovely shirts, jerseys, jackets and dresses.

Going to the gym or pool? There are leggings, shorts, tanks, sports bras, and hoodies, and swimwear in a variety of styles.

And if you would prefer to hide your pregnancy bump a little, you could experiment with layering some items and wearing a long scarf, or try out a belly band or shapewear items.

Have you experimented with your wardrobe and tried out different styles? Let us know what has worked for you!
